Prokon Makina, Insaat, Imalat, Montaj, Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd (Prokon Türkiye), Prokon’s subsidiary, is pleased to announce that it has signed a new contract with Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.S. (Tüpraş) to provide maintenance and repair works of furnaces.
The contract takes in the maintenance and repair works of the furnaces in Unit 5 (Crude Oil Unit) and 21 (Naphta Hydrotreater/Desulphurization) of Tüpraş Izmit Refinery.
Two crude oil furnaces, including their pre-heaters, one vacuum furnace including its air preheater, one sour gas incinerator and its stack will be serviced during the shutdown period. The shutdown period is expected to start in the beginning of October, 2022, and it is planned to be completed in 30 days.

As part of the current campaign, Prokon will deliver blinding, dismantling, cleaning, retubing, reassembly, replacement of various parts of the furnaces, which at the peak of the works will see around 110 people – some 90 pipe fitters/erectors and 16 alloy welders – mobilized to the site.
Glensol becomes bp’s major services provider
Glensol, Nobel Energy’s field operations and equipment maintenance subsidiary, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a major contract by bp for the provision of gas turbine maintenance services in the Azerbaijan Georgia Turkey region.
As part of the contract, Glensol will provide the maintenance services for bp’s entire onshore and offshore fleet of gas turbine packages in the Caspian Sea.

Glensol, Nobel Energy’s field operations and equipment maintenance subsidiary, in cooperation with the National Aviation Academy held a Training Programme for technicians of SOCAR’s Azneft Production Union (PU).
The aim of the ‘Training of the personnel providing technical service to equipment operated in the oil and gas industry’ was to furnish technicians with all necessary knowledge and skills.
The Training Programme was delivered by the technical specialists of Glensol and academic staff of the National Aviation Academy for the technical-mechanics, electrical and electronical personnel of the 28 May and Oil Rocks Oil and Gas Extraction Departments of the Azneft PU at the Academy’s facilities.
Following the completion of the Training Programme, Azneft PU hosted an event to present the certificates to the programme participants.
Shahmar Huseynov, General Director Azneft PU, who introduced the certificates to the trainees, said: “We acknowledge the importance of advancing technical skills and capabilities of employees in this increasingly demanding world. To this end, we have joined the programme, which was professionally delivered by Glensol and the National Aviation Academy.
My sincere congratulations to all participants with completion of such a value generating programme, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors”.

Glensol and National Aviation Academy train Azneft technicians

Glensol, Nobel Energy’s field operations and equipment maintenance subsidiary, is pleased to announce that it has launched a Technical Trainings Programme aimed at training Iraqi oil and gas technical specialists.
The trainings will be conducted at Glensol’s world-class workshop in Baku for the technicians of Basra Energy Company (BECL), the main contractor at the Rumaila oilfield in Iraq, the third largest field in the world.
Based on the agreement, Glensol will deliver the trainings on the following subjects: Mechanical Rotating Equipment, Electrical Equipment, Mechanical Static Equipment and Control System and Field Devices.
The main objective of the trainings is to furnish technicians with all necessary knowledge and skills to handle and maintain the equipment operated in the field in line with the manufacturer’s and organisational practices and procedures.
The first module, which covered the Mechanical Rotating Equipment theme, was successfully delivered on 7-11 September.
