Nobel Oil Services, along with its subsidiaries, GLENSOL and PROKON, has completed Summer Internship Program 2019.
Ensuring a highly competitive selection process, the program attracted over 1200 students with 40 percent of the applicants representing foreign countries. Over 20 students studying for bachelor and master degrees were selected as interns to gain practical experience in real-life working environment and acquaint themselves with the business practices and values of the Company. Successful applicants were involved in various fields, such as operations, construction management, HSE, procurement and supply chain management, legal, finance & accounting, human resources, public relations and others.
“Promotion of the inclusivity and equal opportunities is always a central feature of our recruitment process. We worked to ensure that students from the regions, as well as the capital were considered and selected for the program”, said Ellada Alishova, Group HR Manager of Nobel Oil.
“We hope that they apply the experience and knowledge they were able to gain at Nobel Oil in their future career pursuits and take an active part in the professional workforce development within their local communities”, she added.
The internship program is organized by Nobel Oil group of companies with an aim to provide university students with an opportunity to develop professional skills and gain experience while attracting young talents to the Company’s business. The interns were given the unique opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and adopt best practices.

Nobel Energy and Ministry of Energy sign MoU for Construction of 400MW Solar Power Plant
Nobel Energy (part of NEQSOL Holding) is pleased to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan for the development of a 400MW solar power plant in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan and export of the generated electricity to Türkiye, and partly for the local use. This collaboration signifies an important milestone in advancing sustainable energy solutions and fostering environmental stewardship.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy Azerbaijan and Vugar Samadli, CEO Nobel Energy in a special ceremony on ‘Green energy potential of Nakhchivan and Eastern Zangazur’ held in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, on 3 June.
The development of a solar power plant, to be located in Nakhchivan, follows the government’s systematic efforts in promoting clean energy and reducing carbon emissions by establishing ‘green energy zones’ across the country.
The memorandum reflects a shared commitment to using the potential of renewable energy to drive economic growth and sustainable development. The solar power plant will leverage advanced solar technology to generate clean and reliable electricity. By using the abundant solar resources of the region, the project aims to contribute to Türkiye’s national grid, as well as the local energy supply.
Vugar Samadli said: “This development follows our transformation strategy to be part of the solutions to help all our stakeholders to get affordable and reliable energy, while reducing environmental impacts. It reflects our shared commitment with the government to harnessing the potential of renewable energy to drive economic growth and sustainable development”.

Prokon is entrusted new critical M&R scopes in Türkiye
Prokon Makina, Insaat, Imalat, Montaj, Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd (Prokon Türkiye), Prokon’s subsidiary, is pleased to announce that it has signed two new contracts with Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.S. (Tüpraş) to provide maintenance, repair and replacement works at the Kirikkale Refinery.
Within the framework of the contracts, Prokon Türkiye will provide the maintenance and repair works of the static equipment, and replacement works of the column and the blowdown chimney during the planned shutdown period, which started on early February, and is planned to be completed before the end of March, 2023.

Glensol becomes bp’s major services provider
Glensol, Nobel Energy’s field operations and equipment maintenance subsidiary, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a major contract by bp for the provision of gas turbine maintenance services in the Azerbaijan Georgia Turkey region.
As part of the contract, Glensol will provide the maintenance services for bp’s entire onshore and offshore fleet of gas turbine packages in the Caspian Sea.
